Having recently had the pleasure of a weekend stay at the Hussar Hotel in Margate I would have no problems in recommending it to anyone who was requiring accomodation in the Thanet area. The staff were extremely friendly and obliging and the rooms were justifiably presented in the excellent manner as portraid on the website. The location is fantastic for getting in around the area, close enough to walk to town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle.Only 5 minute taxi from either Westgate or Margate Railway stations. I would most definately stay there again, thanks David and Margo

the hussar hotel was a very easy place to find we were also aloud into our room early which help us out a lot as we had a wedding to go to. the room was lovely and clean with a very clean bath room . the only thing i could say was a lilttle bit poor was the metal beds not very well put together and a bit cheap. the full english breakfast in the morning was the best ever. we would staye again and tell friends aswell.

excellent service - friendly staff - nice rooms

booking service should make it clear that card payment will need to be paid at the hotel - despite taking card details on booking

Was staying here during practice days of The Open Golf. Negatives-Was a little intimidating checking in at the pub as it was quite busy and we weren't acknowledged. We werent told about Scaffolders that woke us up at 730am the first night. Positives-clean room, good breakfast, outdoor area if you have kids.

A very relaxing and comfortable stay. We enjoyed the baby seagulls nesting outside our bedroom

Very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble! Room very clean, comfortable & beautifully decorated, a home from home. Lovely breakfasts with a good choice of well-cooked food. Would certainly stay again.

Everybody was so helpful & kind. Nothing was too much trouble. I like my scrambled eggs in the morning, and they were perfectly cooked, each of the four mornings. Mother in law also enjoyed her meal there.

The room was big with a double bed a single and a double sofa bed. So as a family of 4 with growing lads it was perfect. The toilet was separate from the bathroom which was handy.

The kind attention given to us by the lady (Manager?) when she cooked an evening meal for us as the chef was unfortunately not available that evening. It was very enjoyable.

Family room was fantastic for space and airiness, it is like a self contained flat. The hotel was very clean and has it's own exit door so there is no need to walk through the pub to exit the hotel. The breakfast was really good and the staff were all very pleasant.

Because of the location it is a little noisy, even through the double glazing and not helped by drunks leaving the pub, sitting on the benches outside and shouting!! The bed was a little uncomfortable and because we are tall and the bed has an end to the bedstead, we had to sleep scrunched up.

The owners were very helpful and accommodating and the cooked breakfast was excellent.

The hotel consists of bedrooms above a pub situated on a main road in a not particularly attractive location, though the sea front at Westbrook is only 5 minutes' walk and the centre of Margate about 5 minutes' taxi ride away.

It was clean & tidy room, larger than we had expected. For 1 night it was suitable for our needs. Breakfast was excellent, good choice.

The finish on the furnishing etc need to looked at; as let the room down from being just ok to being good.

Very friendly and welcoming people who run the Hotel. The room was spacious, very clean and well presented with separate bathroom and toilet. The in room facilities, e.g. tea/coffee, was well laid out and the TV was good. We had a separate entrance way rather than having to go through the main bar area which was great and the breakfast the following morning was very well cooked and a good selection. I would recommend this hotel for those on a budget for staying in that area.

Very clean room and facilities breakfast food and service very good

Had an evening meal which was very poor Pork soggy and chewy green veg tasted bad, dinner smothered in gravy instead of being in a seperate jug yorkshire pudding tough roast potatoes soft inside my wife was unable to eat any of her dinner. Live band playing Friday in the bar which was very noisy till 11pm which we were not told about when booking.
